Parent Testimonials

We want to take this opportunity to formally thank you and your staff (Lebanon campus) for a wonderful experience over the last few years. Our grandson recently “graduated” and is happily transitioning to Norwich recreation program activities for the summer in anticipation for Marion Cross kindergarten.

The staff at GMCC, in particular Sirena Dodge, Katie Southworth and Darcy Emerson have been wonderful teachers and extremely helpful and supportive to us. Your staff has worked tirelessly to make our grandson’s experience very special with the right combination of nurturing and consistency.

We are so impressed by the dedication of the staff and are so grateful that our grandson had the opportunity to meet such special people early on in his life!

Keep up the great work!
Lisa and Don McCabe

Christy, (and ALL staff at the Claremont campus)

Two and half years ago, I was blessed with a beautiful baby boy. I was so excited and so happy, but at the same time, I was sad and scared because one year before that cancer had taken my mother. My mother had always intended to leave her job and take care of her grandchildren, when the time came. The time came… and unfortunately she wasn’t around to enjoy it. One of my biggest stresses in having a baby was how am I going to work, who’s going to take care of him and will they do it the way I would? In February of 2008 my son began attending GMCC. It wasn’t long before I could see that even though it wasn’t mom or grandmom that was taking care of him, it was good people. Caring, nurturing, protective, strong people. Even on the days that my son didn’t want Mommy to leave… I knew that within minutes he was going to be okay and he’d be off playing and learning and feeling comfortable, safe, loved… it really means a lot to me. You all make it easier for me to be a mom and to have a career.

Everywhere I go I get compliments on what a smart, well behaved child he is. Everyone comments on his language skills and no one believes me when I say he’s only two and half. I know that my husband and I can take some of the credit for this, but I also know that Sharron, Tammy, Ginny, Casey, Christy and everyone at WMCC is also a big part of it. If it wasn’t for the safe, nurturing, hands on type of atmosphere that’s provided at WMCC, he wouldn’t be the kid he is today. So for all of this, I just want to say thank you.

My family has a challenging year coming up. It means a lot to us that we have all of you and I know that with the support of my family and our GMCC family, it will be a little easier.

Again, THANK YOU! I know that if my son could have written this himself he would have said the same. I look forward to the days and years to come that we will share together.

Sincerely,
J. Hemingway

It's a pleasure every year to have the opportunity to recognize and thank the wonderful staff at GMCC. The work of early childhood educators often goes unappreciated so it is nice to have a chance to recognize all that these people do to care for our children every day.

We are very lucky that our daughter has Patrick and Rachelle as her teachers. They are kind and loving, fun and creative. Their classroom is full of visual stimulation, artwork and fun things to do. Our daughter has learned so much in their room and is proud of her accomplishments.

Everyone at Green Mountain works together, under the caring direction of Darcy Emerson, to make it a happy and enriching place for children. Our daughter loves each and every teacher at the center, even those in the other classrooms. Our older daughter loves to go back for visits and see her beloved former teachers, especially Stefanie.

Thank you GMCC for all you do! You are very much appreciated.

With Love,
A. Sharfstein & D. Mielcarz
